About Me

Frances has always considered writing as the best form of self-expression. As a Creative Writing major with a specialization in Fiction, she approaches every piece—whether it’s a feature article, a blog post, or a social media caption—with the style and flair of a storyteller.

She started her writing journey at WheninManila.com during her college internship. She worked closely with members of the Graphics, Video, and Photography teams to produce content for WheninManila.com —ranging from food blogs, movie and theatrical production reviews, monthly editorial and branded content.

In August 2021, she joined Kyoto-based coffee company % Arabica, where she worked as a copywriter and a member of the Franchising Communications Department until March 2024. There, she crafted coffee profile sheets to educate customers on the kinds of coffee available at the stores, wrote store descriptions for the company website, and kept the barista operations manual up to date with new CEO-approved guidelines.

Frances's most recent role was Junior Copywriter at Okada Manila from July 2024 to January 2025. There she wrote marketing copy for Key Visuals used in contest and promos, social media captions, and event scripts and speeches - one such event being the 2024 Icon Awards held last 19 September 2024.

Each of these roles and the experiences that came with them reinforced what Frances loves most about writing: the ability to express ideas, shape narratives, and connect with an audience—even as an introvert who often finds words easier to write than to say.
